Climate Plan: limiting global warming to 1.5°C
In the face of the climate emergency, Soitec is aligning itself with the most ambitious objectives of the Paris Agreement, aimed at limiting global warming to 1.5°C.
The objectives:
- 37% reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from scopes 1 and 2 by 2030.
50.9% reduction in scope 3 GHG emissions per million euros of added value by 2030.

1. Adapting eco-design to future market needs through life cycle assessments (LCA) of its products.
2. Integrating environmental factors into decision-making to prioritize sustainable choices.
Technological innovations for a reduced impact
SmartSiC™ and Smart Cut™: Sustainable Technologies
Smart Cut™ significantly reduces energy & material consumption in semiconductor production.
SmartSiC™ enables substrate reuse up to 10 times, cutting CO₂ emissions by 70% per substrate.In automotive applications, SmartSiC™ extends EV range to 500 km per charge, compared to 350 km using traditional tech, while reducing energy consumption by 10%.
