Facilities
Located just south of Paris, Picogiga's manufacturing facilities feature 1800mē of clean room serviced by state-of-the-art facilities and offices. Our eight MBE reactors give us a global capacity of more than 70,000 (4-inch equivalent) wafers per year, in 2 6 diameters.
The core of our volume production runs on four identically configured and then interchangeable Riber R6000s, which can handle 3 to 6 wafer sizes. Our manufacturing strategy provides for large, instantaneous capacity, while ensuring permanent and secured production availability.
R&D activities and low-volume production (including pre-production and engineering samples) run on dedicated equipment such as the V90, V100 or R49. The production clean room also hosts the state-of-the-art production control and characterization equipment required to ensure high-quality and reproducible deliveries. A device processing line is also available for in line electrical parameters monitoring.
Facility services include process gases, liquid Nē and DI water stations as well as highly sophisticated security, safety and emergency control systems to ensure seamless and secure operations. Additionally, the clean room electrical power supply is backed up by an automatic diesel generator associated with UPS units, capable of ensuring continuous operations in case of emergencies.
Our highly-trained manufacturing staff operates 6 days (extendable to 7) a week, 24 hours a day, enabling us to offer both cost-effective operation and the utmost in reactivity with respect to customers' requirements.
