Soitec’s CPV power plants are suitable for regions with high direct normal irradiance (DNI). Our plants deliver high performance and constant energy production throughout the day. Soitec’s highly-efficient two-axis tracking systems combined with Concentrix technology-based CPV modules and inverters ensure optimal yields.
Field testing of Concentrix technology dates back to 2005, and the first commercial power plants using the technology were built in 2008. Concentrix technology achieves outstanding AC system efficiencies of 25% in normal operating conditions in the field — almost double the efficiencies of conventional silicon-based solar power systems. Soitec plants are currently operating in Spain, Italy, France, Cyprus, the United States, South Africa, Israel, Oman, Jordan, Egypt, and South Korea.
