Touwsrivier, Western Cape
South Africa
82 kWp, installed in 2010
This Soitec project at the Aquila Private Game Reserve in Touwsrivier, Western Cape is a prime example of using renewable energy for more environmentally-friendly tourism. The game reserve is able to cover all energy requirements during daylight hours with its Concentrix technology-based CPV systems. This is a pilot project that will be used to develop a 50 MW project.
Questa, New Mexico
United States
1.37 MWp, installed in 2010
This Soitec CPV power plant is one of the world’s largest CPV power plants. The plant, which uses Concentrix technology, is built on previously impacted land.
Puertollano
Spain
680 kWp, installed in 2008
This 680 kW power plant using Concentrix CPV technology is part of a 3 MW CPV project and one of the first large-scale solar power plants in Europe to use high-efficiency III-V multi-junction solar cells.
Sevilla
Spain
140 kWp, installed in 2007
This 140 kW power plant using Concentrix CPV technology is part of a 2 MW power plant consisting of both silicon modules and Soitec CPV modules with two-axis tracking systems. It is one of the world's'first hybrid power plants of its kind.
Wadi El Natrun
Egypt
40 kWp, installed in 2010
This demonstration project shows the use of Soitec’s CPV technology in an island system and features a storage solution that powers a water and irrigation pump and a desalination plant.
Ma'an
Jordan
8.2 kWp, installed in 2010
This Concentrix technology-based system delivers excellent reliability and yield despite the demanding Middle Eastern climate. The plant has achieved average solar-to-grid efficiencies of 21%, with daily peak efficiencies regularly reaching 25% and beyond, despite ambient temperatures of up to 45°C.
Rians
France
630 kWp, installed in 2011
The largest CPV Power Plant in France was installed beginning of 2011 by Soitec. This CPV Power Plant is localized in Rians in the French Provence region. For this project, 80 CPV Systems using Concentrix™ technology have been assembled and connected to the grid.
Thémis
France
220 kWp, installed in 2011
The project consists of 26 Soitec CX-P6 systems and is classified for research purposes next to one of Europe's oldest and most important concentrating solar power research centers in the French Pyrenees in Targassone.
Hazelmere
South Africa
480 kWp, installed in 2011
This CPV power plant was installed to power the COP17 Climate Conference in Durban, November 28 è December 9, 2011. It is the first CPV power plant in South Africa, inaugurated by His Excellency, President Jacob Zuma, in December 2011.
