Supporting the arts through long-term involvement with the Musée de Grenoble

Soitec was one of a select circle of early corporate sponsors — one that includes corporations like Biomérieux, Schneider Electric, Caisse d’Épargne, and Crédit Agricole — to support our local fine arts museum, the Musée de Grenoble.

Founded in 1798, the Musée de Grenoble attracts nearly 200,000 visitors a year, with some 1,500 works from the permanent collections on display in the museum’s vast galleries. The collections cover virtually the entire history of Western art, from the late Middle Ages to the present.

A long history, an excellent reputation, and generous bequests from renowned artists like Picasso, Matisse, Monet, and Max Ernst have resulted in an exceptionally diverse collection, with works representing Ancient Egypt and the Old Masters as well as modern and contemporary artists.

Soitec has made a long-term commitment to supporting the museum through contributions to the acquisitions fund and by promoting the museum’s many temporary exhibits. Soitec employees are encouraged to discover the museum’s collections and can receive free tickets.
