Membership in industry organizations

The SOI Industry Consortium is a group of leading companies from the electronics industry. The group's mission is to accelerate the penetration of Silicon-on-Insulator (SOI) innovation into broad markets by promoting the benefits of SOI technology and lifting barriers to adoption.

SEMI is the global industry association serving the manufacturing supply chains for the microelectronics, display, and photovoltaic industries.

The Minalogic global competitive cluster provides resources and specialized know-how in the field of intelligent miniaturized solutions for industry. The cluster operates in a coordination capacity, helping to launch collaborative projects that contribute to creating, developing, and manufacturing products and services integrating micro and nanotechnologies.

The CPV Consortium is a global industry organization that supports the development and long-term success of the Concentrator Photovoltaic industry with the goal of providing a low-cost, reliable source of renewable energy and establishing CPV as a mainstream source of renewable energy.

Launched in July 2009, Desertec aims at creating the conditions for an accelerated implementation of the Desertec concept in EUMENA. Its activities focus on power generation from the sun and wind in the deserts of the MENA countries and transmission to local demand and to the European interconnected grid.

The Medgrid Consortium is studying the feasibility of an electrical grid that would span the Mediterranean. The initiative, which was formerly called Transgreen, should ultimately enable the transmission of solar electricity generated in countries south of the Mediterranean to countries in the north.

The European Photovoltaic Industry Association is the world's largest photovoltaic industry association. EPIA Members are present throughout the whole value chain, from silicon, cells and, module production to systems development and PV electricity generation, as well as sales and marketing.

SEIA is the US trade association of the solar energy industry. As the voice of the industry, SEIA works to make solar a mainstream and significant energy source by expanding markets, removing market barriers, strengthening the industry, and educating the public on the benefits of solar energy.

The Solar Electric Power Association is comprised of electric utilities, solar companies, and other industry stakeholders. Its activities include research projects and national events, one-on-one counseling, and peer matching services.

The South African Photovoltaic Industry Association (SAPVIA) consists of key players in South Africa’s photovoltaic market who have the knowledge, experience, initiative and determination to drive the growth of the industry.
